David Gómez Alzate
(Colombia, 1992)
works as a filmmaker, editor and producer in Berlin. His work has been shown at various museums and film festivals, including the Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena, L'Alternativa Barcelona, Festival de cinemas différents de Paris, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst in Leipzig and others. In 2018, he was also selected as part of the Emerging Artists - Contemporary Experimental Films and Video Art from Germany (AG Kurzfilm / German Films).
As a producer, he has realised projects funded by MOIN Filmförderung, Beauftragte der Kultur und Medien des Bundes and the Goethe-Institut, among others.
He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg (HFBK) and a degree in Law from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He was also study associate at the German Film and Television Academy (DFFB) in the editing department. As part of his academic training, he received a scholarship from the Art School Alliance for a research project at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (ENSBA).
